As you can see, taking a look from the driver's perspective in the rear view mirror, this is where your visibility is with the stock mirror. So you notice you have a pretty good amount of space, but you don't have a full picture of the lanes next to you. Adding your towing mirror gives you this wider perspective so you can see more of what's going on behind you, and it just gives you an extra measure of safety. So let's take a closer look at our mirror itself. It's constructed of PVC plastic, which is gonna hold up against the elements, UV light, and the weather as far as the heat and the cold. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Snap and Zap towing mirrors from K-Source on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. As you can see, using your OEM mirror from the driver's side perspective, you still have plenty of field of view where you can see what's going on behind you, but adding that additional towing mirror is gonna give you that additional visibility and safety to see the whole picture of everything behind you, even traffic from the middle of the next lane. So it can be very helpful and safe to just add that addition when you pull in a trailer. Let's take a closer look at the materials and some of the features that make the snap and zap a little bit better as far as your towing mirrors. The coolest thing about it, it's all one piece. Today on our 2008 GMC Sierra, we're gonna be taking a look at the Longview custom-fit towing mirrors. Before I go over features, they don't look too bad. You know, they do have a decent amount of knobs and stuff on the sides, but the AVS plastic really does match the OEM look. You can't really tell a whole lot of difference. Hey everybody, how's the going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the K Source Snap and Zap Custom Fit Towing Mirrors here on a 2021 GMC Canyon. So to give you guys a better visual of what you're really gonna be seeing behind the driver's seat. So right now I'm standing directly beside the trailer. You can clearly see me in the factory mirror but if I out a couple feet away from the trailer which would sort of mimic the blind spots, when driving out in the highway a vehicle coming up on us, you can see we actually lose focus out of our factory mirror but now I come into focus of our aftermarket mirror. So now, if we see a vehicle here we know they're obviously we can't get over but if we don't see anything that would've safe to our blind spot is clear and we can successfully merge over. So that's really one of the biggest benefits I see of these towing mirrors here. more

This is comes in a quantity of one under part number 7070 or in a quantity of two under 7070-2.As you can see right now, you have vision of me in the factory mirror, but as I step outside, the towing mirror helps give you that vision farther out to help you change lanes and pass. This universal towing mirror gives you more vision when you're towing. You can have it in the vertical position like we do now, or if you prefer, you can tilt it and turn it to the horizontal position. The ball socket on the backside of the mirror allows you to pivot it and move it to give you maximum vision. The clips are going to go around your factory housing and secure it. more

These mirrors are adjustable both vertically and horizontally, and while they're installed you can still adjust your factory mirror. We can still fold our mirror in, and we don't have to worry about contacting the body. If you look at the backside of our mirror, the contours flow right into our factory mirror, and the texture and color matches nicely with our vehicle, so it looks like it was supposed to be there the whole time.Located on the bottom, there's a cutout that will allow your puddle lamp to work properly even when it's installed. more

Speaker: Today on our 2018 GMC Sierra 1500, we're gonna be installing Longview's custom towing mirrors, part number LVT-1800.So, as you can see here, I'm clearly visible on our factory mirror, but as I take a step towards the outside, I'm no longer visible on our factory mirror, but I can still be seen in our custom towing mirror. This is particularly useful when merging onto the highway, changing lanes or during parking maneuvers.The mirror glass is adjustable both horizontally and vertically, and while it's installed, you'll still have full adjustment of your factory mirror.The breakaway feature of the mirror is still functional, and it won't contact the body when it's folded in. The mirror's held on by clipping around the outside, and one here located at the back, and it's the same color and texture of your factory mirror, so that way it blends in nicely and looks like it was supposed to be there the whole time.This is a set of two custom-fit towing mirrors, one for your driver's side and passenger's side, that are really easy to install. I'll show you that now.To begin your installation, slide the hook through the hole at the opening there, sliding it from the front to the back. We'll then take our mirror. We're just gonna slide it over our factory mirror. more

This is particularly useful when merging on to the highway, changing lanes or during parking maneuvers. Each mirror is adjustable both vertically and horizontally, and while your universal mirror is installed, you'll maintain most of the adjustment on your factory mirror. The mirror will still break away, and you don't have to worry about the universal mirror contacting the body or window glass.It's held into place using two ratcheting straps on the back side. What's nice about this is they have a ratcheting function to insure that they stay nice and tight, a locking cap to keep everything secure. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2018 GMC Acadia we're going to be installing CIPA's Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirror, Part Number 11953. You can also get these in a quantity of two with Part Number 11953-2.As you can see here, I'm visible in our factory mirror, but as I take a step towards the outside, I'm no longer visible in our factory mirror, but I can clearly be seen in our Universal Towing Mirror. This is particularly useful when merging onto the highway, changing lanes or during parking maneuvers.Each mirror is adjustable both vertically and horizontally, and while it's installed our factory mirror can still be adjusted.This smaller mirror towards the outside is convex giving it a larger range of view, and the larger mirror towards the inside is flat giving it a more accurate view.inaudible 00:00:48 all the mirrors installed, the breakaway function will still without contacting the body.The rubber straps in the back will keep the mirror tight without slipping, and also prevent any scratches or abrasions. Additionally, they can be adjusted so any lights or in our case, our 360 degree camera won't be obstructed.We'll begin our installation by loosening the knobs in the back. This will allow the arms to adjust to the appropriate width for our mirror.We'll now align the hooks with both the top and bottom side of our mirror, and then we can bring our straps up around back and hook them in place. If need be, you can adjust the buckles on these straps to make them tighter or looser.You'll then tighten down the knobs in the back, locking our adjustment in place. more

Speaker 1: Today, in our 2018 GMC Acadia, we're going to be installing Cipa's universal towing mirrors, part number CM11980. You could also get these in a quantity of two with part number CM11980-2.And as you can see here, I'm clearly visible on our factory mirror, but as I take a step towards the outside, no longer visible on the factory mirror, but I can still be seen in our universal towing mirror. This is particularly useful when merging onto a highway, changing lanes and during parking maneuvers.The mirror's fully adjustable both vertically and horizontally, and can be twisted to rotate however you need it. The large nut here can be loosened to allow the mirror to extend, giving it some additional clearance around some of the larger trailers.The adjustment knob here on the back allows you to pivot it on the arm, as well as slide it up and down the arm to get that perfect adjustment. Each foot clamp features a rubber pad on it. That'll prevent any scratches or abrasions from occurring on your mirror when you tighten it down, as well as give it some extra grip, and that'll hold it in place.You'll begin your installation by taking your mirror, and sliding it onto the top of your factory mirror. more

You can also get this in a quantity of two with part number 7070-2.And as you can see here, I'm clearly visible on our factory mirror but as I take a step towards the outside, I'm no longer visible in the factory mirror but I can clearly be seen in our universal towing mirror.This is particularly useful when merging onto the highway, changing lanes, or during parking maneuvers.This mirror's adjustable both vertically and horizontally, and it can be twisted to suit your needs. The factory mirror's still adjustable, and the break-away feature still functions without contacting the body or glass. And while it's installed, the straps can be adjusted so that they won't interfere with your back up camera.The straps are rubber so they won't cause any scratches or abrasions on the backside of your mirror, and they'll also get some grip so they won't fall off.We'll begin our installation by aligning the hooks with both the top and bottom plane of our mirror. You can then take the straps, bring them around back, and hook them in place. more
